Two edits, two completely different rules
A property launch film and a paid social cut are both video and share almost nothing else. One is watched deliberately, on a large screen, with sound. The other is scrolled past, on a phone, muted, and has about three seconds to stop a thumb. Editing both the same way produces a promo nobody finishes and a social cut nobody starts.
The property launch
An aerial opener establishes the site, an animated logo sting carries the developer's identity, and the whole thing is graded on a sunset pass so the light does the selling. It was cut specifically for the paid placements the launch campaign was running, rather than cut long and trimmed down afterwards — which is how a hero film ends up with its best ten seconds in the middle.
The social cut
Built for sound-off from the start. Captions are burned in rather than relying on platform auto-captions, which are optional, late and frequently wrong. The offer lands inside the first three seconds, and the edit ships as 9:16 and 1:1 cutdowns because a single aspect ratio only covers one placement.
The pipeline behind both
Premiere for the edit, After Effects for the motion, Resolve for the grade, Audition for the audio — the same desk that handles YouTube, product, wedding, corporate and event work, which is what makes a two-format delivery a scheduling question rather than a staffing one.
