The brief
A couple planning an elopement is not shopping for a photographer. They are trying to work out whether the thing is even possible — where to go, what a permit needs, what the weather does in October, whether their dog can come. Whoever answers those questions is the one they hire. A portfolio and a contact form answer none of them.
What we built
Six destination guides — Iceland, the Redwoods, Washington, Oregon, Utah and California — are the substance of the site, sitting alongside umbrella pieces covering the most romantic destinations and the best places to elope. A How to Elope guide covers the planning itself. This material is what earns the search traffic and what makes the enquiry arrive already convinced.
The schedule is the conversion
The travel schedule turns a reader into a date. Someone reading the Iceland guide who finds the studio is already travelling there in September has a concrete reason to write this week rather than think about it. It is the single most commercially useful page on the site and it is one click from the navigation.
Packages that state the terms
Packages describe what is actually delivered: scouting and location selection, permit guidance, vendor recommendations, timeline planning, weather contingency, and a custom album specified down to the minimum spread count and revision limits. Stating the terms filters the enquiries rather than inflating them.
Where it landed
Enquiries arrive from people who have already read the guide for the place they want to go, and the travel schedule gives them the reason to send it now.
